Description

Harel Insurance Investments & Financial Services Ltd, established in 1933 and headquartered in Ramat Gan, Israel, is a leading provider of insurance and financial products operating across Israel, the United States, and Western Europe. The company structures its extensive operations into five primary divisions: Life Assurance and Long-Term Savings, Health Insurance, General Insurance, International Insurance Operations, and Capital Market and Financial Services. Within its Life Assurance and Long-Term Savings division, Harel offers a comprehensive suite of life insurance policies designed to cover various risks, including mortality, diverse forms of disability (both general and work-related), and critical illnesses. This segment also provides long-term savings solutions and oversees the management of pension and provident funds. The Health Insurance segment delivers coverage for medical conditions, hospital stays, and personal accidents. It extends to specialized policies for travelers, foreign workers, and tourists, alongside comprehensive dental insurance that encompasses preventative care, periodontal treatment, orthodontics, and oral rehabilitation. Harel's diverse General Insurance portfolio includes motor vehicle property coverage; professional indemnity for a wide array of professionals such as investment consultants, portfolio managers, attorneys, engineers, architects, and accountants; and specialized insurances for clinical trials, directors and officers liability, defective products, cyber risks, third-party liability, and employers' liability. Furthermore, it provides credit insurance for mortgages and an extensive range of property-related policies covering fire, theft, homeowners, terrorism, cash and goods in transit, electronic equipment, agricultural assets, mechanical engineering equipment, mechanical failure, building projects for contractors, and homebuyers. In its Capital Market and Financial Services segment, the company actively manages mutual funds and investment portfolios, and offers access to financial instruments such as certificates of deposit and private equity funds.
