Description

Cogna Educação S.A., established in 1998 and headquartered in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, operates as a private educational institution with a presence throughout Brazil and globally. The company organizes its activities into three principal divisions: conventional university-level instruction, remote higher education, and foundational schooling. It delivers diverse educational programs, encompassing in-person and online undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Its publishing arm creates, markets, and disseminates educational, literary, and informational textbooks, supplementary aids, and workbooks, alongside complete teaching systems. Cogna also develops specialized educational solutions for professional development and advanced studies, complementing these with services like education technology development and academic management support. Specific offerings include K-12 schooling, preparation courses for university admission, and language training for younger learners. Additionally, it provides technical training and exam preparation for careers in civil service and legal professions (Brazilian Bar Association). The company also assists students with direct and indirect loan facilitation and creates software for adaptive learning and academic administration optimization. Its comprehensive service portfolio covers primary, secondary, and tertiary education, featuring on-campus and distance learning options for both undergraduate and graduate studies, as well as preparatory courses under the LFG brand and various unregulated programs. Cogna's extensive infrastructure within Brazil comprises 176 higher education campuses spread across 24 states and 132 cities. It further extends its reach through 1,510 distance learning centers located across multiple states and the Federal District. The company directly operates 54 K-12 schools and 125 Red Balloon language units, besides collaborating with approximately 5,600 associated schools nationwide.
