The institution's operations are divided into two main segments: Barclays UK and Barclays International. Its diverse offerings encompass retail banking, credit card services, wholesale banking, investment banking, wealth management, and investment management. Furthermore, the company actively participates in securities trading and is a significant issuer of credit cards. Established in 1690, the firm was formerly known as Barclays Bank Limited, adopting its current name, Barclays PLC, in January 1985. Its corporate headquarters are located in London, United Kingdom.
