Description

Headquartered in Akashi, Japan, Japan Engine Corporation, established in 1910, is a comprehensive engineering firm engaged in the design, development, production, maintenance, sales, and licensing of engines and related components throughout Japan. The company is particularly renowned for its UE engines, which power a diverse range of vessels including bulk carriers, tankers, car carriers, and container ships. Beyond marine propulsion, JEC manufactures and markets specialized shield machine components essential for subway construction and tunnel boring operations. Their expertise also extends to the precise machining and assembly of large-scale industrial equipment, such as injection molding machines and testing apparatus. Additionally, their extensive product offerings encompass critical engine parts like cylinder covers, piston crowns, piston heads, and metallic sliding bearings, alongside pressure-relief control valve blocks, bedplates, and resin granulators. The company operated as Kobe Diesel Co., Ltd. before adopting its current name in April 2017.
