Hyosung Heavy Industries Corporation, founded in Seoul, South Korea, in 1962, operates as a prominent global manufacturer and distributor of heavy-duty electrical equipment. The company's extensive product portfolio encompasses a broad spectrum of solutions for power transmission and distribution. This includes various transformers (power, oil-immersed, cast-resin, and specialized models), shunt reactors, high-voltage and medium/low-voltage switchgears, and advanced high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems. They also provide STATCOM devices designed to enhance power system stability and quality, alongside comprehensive turnkey solutions. Beyond core electrical components, Hyosung offers sophisticated system and engineering services. These feature condition monitoring systems, asset health management programs, power system maintenance, and both power and process automation solutions. The company is also a key player in the renewable energy sector, supplying energy storage systems, solar inverters, and wind turbines, in addition to offering engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for solar energy projects. Its manufacturing capabilities extend to a wide array of motors, including high and low voltage, DC, general industrial, and special-purpose motors, as well as commercial and emergency power generators. Hyosung further provides chemical equipment, filling stations, industrial gas supply systems, diverse gearboxes, special gear units, and various welding machines (ARC, resistance, and special spot welders). In a distinct division, the corporation undertakes a diverse range of construction activities. These span housing projects, urban redevelopment and reconstruction, business and commercial facility development, civil engineering, environmental initiatives, and Social Overhead Capital (SOC) projects. Additionally, Hyosung offers power conditioning and power management systems. The company maintains a significant international presence, exporting its offerings to markets across North and South America, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
