Altek Corporation, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the development, manufacture, and sale of automobile cameras, and medical and digital image technology application products. The company manufactures, produces, and sells digital still cameras and related accessories, digital camera parts, electronic product components, photo electron devices, and optical instruments; buys and sells electronic components; collects American digital imaging technology information; and provides design, business management, housing and non-residential real estate leasing, and property management services. It also provides research, development, and sale of medical electronic equipment; research design and sale of ASIC, imaging technologies, and electronic software and hardware products; research and development, manufacture, and sale of medical electronic equipment; wholesale, import, and export of related electronic products and accessories; and investment activities. The company is also involved in the export and import trade of its products. It operates in Asia, Europe, the United States, Oceania, and Taiwan. The company was formerly known as Asia Imagination Corporation and changed its name to Altek Corporation in February 1997. Altek Corporation was incorporated in 1996 and is headquartered in Hsinchu City, Taiwan.
