Viaplay Group AB (publ), headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, and established in 2017, functions as a prominent entertainment provider and streaming service, reaching audiences across Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and globally. At its core is the Viaplay online video streaming service, offering subscribers a diverse content library that includes live sports, exclusive original series, documentaries, and films, alongside international television releases, classic shows, and children's animation. The company further extends its reach with Viafree, providing free-to-view content, and a collection of premium television channels under the "V sport, series & film" brand, delivering a variety of entertainment. Viaplay also owns Viaplay Studios, its production arm dedicated to creating original and animated material. Beyond its streaming and premium channel offerings, the group manages numerous commercial television channels: TV3, TV6 (targeting young male demographics), TV8 (focusing on procedural drama), TV10 (for sports and documentaries), Viasat4, TV3+ (featuring procedural series, cooking, and lifestyle programs), TV3 Sport (for sports enthusiasts), and TV3 MAX (showcasing comedy and drama). Its extensive audio portfolio comprises radio stations such as Rix FM, Bandit Rock, Power Hit Radio, Star FM, and the "P" series (P4 Lyden av Norge, P5 Hits, P6 Rock, P7 Klem, P8 Pop, P9 Retro, and P10 Country). Additionally, it operates online platforms like NRJ (an online TV channel), Bandit (an online radio station), and I LIKE RADIO, an online music service that also features news, talk shows, and contests. The company further generates revenue by offering advertising services across its television channels, radio stations, and streaming platforms. Previously known as Nordic Entertainment Group AB (publ), the company officially adopted the name Viaplay Group AB (publ) in May 2022.
