Description

Cineplex Inc. stands as a prominent entertainment and media conglomerate, conducting its diverse operations throughout Canada and on an international level, primarily via its subsidiaries. Its extensive business is segmented into four key divisions: Film Entertainment and Content, Media, Amusement and Leisure, and Location-Based Entertainment. At its core, the company is deeply involved in operating movie theaters and providing associated food and beverage services. Cineplex also diversifies its offerings by delivering alternative content programming and facilitating the rental and sale of digital movies. It manages a comprehensive online platform, cineplex.com, which serves as an entertainment hub providing streaming video, film details, showtime listings, online ticket purchasing, entertainment news, box office data, and various advertising and e-commerce functionalities. Furthermore, the company engages users through its dedicated Cineplex mobile application, accessible on multiple devices. Beyond its direct consumer entertainment, Cineplex integrates advertising across its theater venues and employs digital place-based media to offer advanced digital signage solutions.
