Description

Ayala Corporation, founded in 1834 and based in Makati City, Philippines, is a diversified conglomerate with operations spanning both the Philippines and international markets. The company's activities are categorized into several key segments. Its Real Estate and Hotels division focuses on developing, constructing, leasing, and selling a range of residential and commercial properties. This segment also manages land assets, operates hospitality establishments including hotels, cinemas, and theaters, and provides specialized construction and property management services. The Financial Services and Insurance segment offers an extensive suite of financial products and services. These include corporate, consumer, mortgage, leasing, and agricultural loans; deposit and cash management; asset management; online stock trading; foreign exchange and capital markets investment dealing; corporate finance and consulting; investment banking; internet banking; and safety deposit facilities. Additionally, it provides various insurance solutions, covering life, non-life, pre-need, and reinsurance. Through its Telecommunications segment, Ayala delivers digital wireless communication, long-distance communication, broadband internet, and wireline voice and data communication services. This division is also involved in the design, development, operation, administration, and management of software applications and systems. The Water segment is responsible for the management, operation, repair, decommissioning, and refurbishment of essential infrastructure required for water delivery, sewerage, sanitation, distribution, pipe works, and used water management services. In Industrial Technologies, the corporation engages in electronics manufacturing, alongside power semiconductor assembly and testing services. Its Power segment is dedicated to generating electricity using both renewable and conventional energy sources. Lastly, the Automotive, Outsourcing and Others segment is highly diversified. It includes the manufacturing, distribution, sale, repair, and servicing of passenger cars and commercial vehicles. This segment also provides venture capital for technology ventures, offers onshore and offshore outsourcing, air-charter services, consultancy, agribusiness, education, human capital resource management, and health services, in addition to investing in various property companies and other projects.
