Description

Mitsubishi Corporation is a global enterprise engaged across a wide array of sectors, encompassing natural gas, industrial materials, petroleum and chemicals, mineral resources, industrial infrastructure, automotive and mobility, food and consumer industries, power solutions, and urban development. Its Natural Gas division handles the exploration, production, and development of natural gas and oil, alongside its liquefied natural gas (LNG) operations. The Industrial Materials sector focuses on investing in, developing, and trading carbon, various steel products, and high-performance materials vital for the automotive, mobility, construction, and infrastructure sectors. In Petroleum & Chemicals, the corporation is engaged in the investment, development, and commerce of crude oil, refined oil products, LPG, ethylene, methanol, salt, ammonia, plastics, and agricultural fertilizers. The Mineral Resources group is dedicated to investing in and developing key resources such as metallurgical coal, copper, iron ore, and aluminum. The Industrial Infrastructure division deals with energy infrastructure, industrial facilities, machine tools, agricultural and mining machinery, elevators, escalators, maritime vessels, and aerospace-related equipment. The Automotive & Mobility arm is responsible for manufacturing, financing, and distributing both passenger and commercial vehicles, in addition to offering various mobility services. Within the Food Industry, Mitsubishi develops and distributes a range of products, including food resources, fresh produce, consumer foodstuffs, and essential food ingredients. The Consumer Industry sector is involved in providing goods and services across diverse areas like retail and distribution, logistics, healthcare, apparel, and tires. The Power Solution division encompasses power generation, transmission, and retail, along with supplying related equipment. It also develops and sells lithium-ion batteries, pioneers hydrogen technologies, and provides battery services. Finally, the Urban Development segment handles leasing activities, as well as the development, operation, and management of urban infrastructure and real estate projects. Established in 1950, Mitsubishi Corporation maintains its corporate headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.
