It is involved in developing mines for uranium, nuclear fuel cycle materials, iron ore, coal, and copper, providing related equipment and services. The company also smelts and refines aluminum and magnesium, trades in diverse metals from iron ore and coking coal to non-ferrous metals and steel products, and leases temporary steel construction materials. A significant portion of Marubeni's operations centers on infrastructure development and power solutions. It delivers comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, coupled with operation and maintenance (O&M), for critical infrastructure projects like railway systems, water facilities, industrial plants, and waste-to-energy power plants. Its extensive power activities cover generation, renewable energy projects, power service and retail, natural gas, hydrogen, ammonia, municipal solid waste, and thermal energy storage businesses. The company also manages various infrastructure funds. Beyond these areas, Marubeni's machinery, aerospace, and marine operations include the ownership, purchase, operation, leasing, sale, and chartering of aerospace products and ships. It also provides sales, trading, leasing, financing, and servicing for construction and industrial machinery, alongside a range of mobility products.
