It further extends to mobile communication, ICT platforms, digital solutions, venture capital investments, and smart communication infrastructure. Sumitomo's Living Related & Real Estate interests include operating food supermarkets and drugstore chains, trading cement and building materials, and undertaking various real estate developments. Finally, the Mineral Resources, Energy, Chemical & Electronics segment is deeply engaged in the development and trading of a vast array of commodities. These include coal, iron ore, manganese, uranium, non-ferrous and precious metals, petroleum, natural gas, and liquefied natural gas, alongside commodity derivative transactions. This segment also facilitates the trade of diverse products such as non-ferrous metal products, liquefied petroleum gas, storage batteries, carbon products, plastics, a variety of organic and inorganic chemicals, silicon wafers, LEDs, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural and veterinary supplies.
