Texchem Resources Bhd, founded in 1973 and headquartered in Penang, Malaysia, operates as an investment holding company with a diversified portfolio encompassing industrial, polymer engineering, food, restaurant, and venture businesses. The company's industrial arm supplies a broad spectrum of chemicals and materials, including plastic and PVC resins, rubber/latex and adhesive chemicals, coating/ink additives, food ingredients, personal care and pharmaceutical additives, and textile auxiliaries. It also provides healthcare-related products such as hand sanitizers, surface disinfectants, 3-ply face masks, and face shields. In polymer engineering, Texchem specializes in developing and manufacturing advanced polymer solutions and designs. Its extensive product range includes extruded plastic sheets, polymer compounds, thermoformed packaging, embossed carrier tapes, and precision injection molded parts, trays, molds, and toolings. These sophisticated offerings cater to critical sectors like data storage, semiconductors, consumer electronics, telecommunications, and medical devices/life sciences, with a focus on high-precision and ultra-clean injection molding technologies. The food division is comprehensive, dealing in fresh, frozen, value-added, sashimi-grade, and dried seafood, as well as surimi, surimi-based, and fishmeal products. It also provides food processing services. Under its restaurant segment, Texchem operates various dining establishments, notably the Sushi King, Hoshino, and Miraku brands, in addition to managing cafes. Beyond these core activities, the company engages in other ventures such as property rental; trading in chemicals, plastic resins, and general products; acting as an agent for electronic components and general merchandise; trading medical devices and equipment; and offering management, consultation, and insurance agency services. It further designs, manufactures, and trades flexo photopolymer printing plates.
