Description

QKL Stores Inc., headquartered in Daqing, People's Republic of China, is a retail company primarily operating supermarket chains throughout northeastern China and Inner Mongolia. The company's supermarkets and hypermarkets offer a broad selection of products. Customers can find a variety of grocery staples, including instant and canned foods, packaged rice and wheat flour, snack items like crackers and chips, bottled water and other beverages, and cigarettes. Essential non-food items are also available, such as cleaning products, cosmetics, and disposable razors. A significant portion of their inventory consists of fresh foods, featuring raw and cooked meats, seafood, noodles, dairy products like milk, yogurt, and eggs, and pre-packaged dumplings. They also provide freshly baked goods, including breads, buns, and other in-house prepared meals. Beyond food, these stores stock a range of general merchandise, from clothing and footwear, books and stationery, bedding and home furnishings, to office supplies, toys, sporting goods, and household electronics like irons, electric shavers, hair dryers, and massage machines. In addition to its grocery operations, QKL Stores Inc. also manages department stores. These establishments focus on selling brand-name and luxury apparel, accessories, cosmetics, smaller electronic devices, jewelry, books, and various home furnishings and bedding. To enhance the shopping experience, these department stores are also equipped with a movie theater and a traditional beauty salon. As of December 31, 2015, the company's retail network comprised 25 supermarkets, 16 hypermarkets, and 4 department stores.
