Description
The Navigator Company, S.A. is a prominent producer and global distributor of various pulp and paper goods. The company's operations are segmented into Market Pulp, UWF Paper, Tissue Paper, and Energy. Its extensive product range includes bleached eucalyptus kraft pulp, fine uncoated papers for writing and printing, and paper products for domestic use, all marketed under recognized brands like Navigator, Multioffice, Discovery, explorer, Inacopia, Target, Pioneer, SOPORSET, INASET, and target plus, serving both commercial and household consumers. Beyond its primary paper business, the company also operates cogeneration facilities and two independent thermoelectric power plants. With a substantial international reach, it conducts business in roughly 130 countries worldwide. Founded in 1953, the entity was previously known as Portucel, S.A. before rebranding as The Navigator Company, S.A. in February 2016. Headquartered in Setúbal, Portugal, it functions as a subsidiary of Semapa - Sociedade de Investimento e Gestão, SGPS, S.A.
