The Industrial Enterprise Solutions (IES) segment specializes in precision metrology systems, incorporating advanced in-sensor technology for accurate measurements, alongside an extensive range of computer-aided design, manufacturing, and engineering software. This includes vital tools such as coordinate measuring machines, laser trackers, scanners, specialized industrial metrology software, and comprehensive operations management platforms. These solutions are instrumental in diverse industries, including electronics, manufacturing, power and energy, automotive, and aerospace and defense. Concurrently, the Geospatial Enterprise Solutions (GIS) segment provides sophisticated sensors designed for capturing spatial data from terrestrial and aerial sources, complemented by satellite-based positioning systems. It also develops GIS software capable of generating detailed 3D maps and models, which are crucial for informed decision-making in applications spanning surveying, construction, public safety, and agriculture. Offerings in this division encompass laser scanners, airborne cameras, unmanned aerial vehicles, mobile mapping technologies, and highly accurate positioning solutions. Founded in 1975, the company was initially named Eken Industri & Handel AB before adopting the Hexagon AB (publ) moniker in 1993. Its corporate headquarters are located in Stockholm, Sweden.
