ConvaTec Group Plc is a global medical technology company focused on creating, producing, and distributing a wide array of healthcare products. Their offerings span several key areas: Advanced Wound Management: This includes specialized dressings and skincare solutions for treating both acute and chronic wounds, which can arise from conditions like diabetes, prolonged immobility, venous disease, traumatic injuries, burns, or surgical interventions. Ostomy Care: The company provides vital devices, accessories, and support services for individuals who have undergone ostomy procedures, often necessitated by conditions such as colorectal or bladder cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, or obesity. Continence and Critical Care: This division offers intermittent urinary catheters and related products to help manage urinary continence issues for patients with spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, spina bifida, and other urological conditions. It also supplies a range of devices crucial for intensive care units and broader hospital settings. Specialized Monitoring and Management Systems: ConvaTec develops advanced systems for managing acute fecal incontinence, meticulously monitoring urine output, and assessing intra-abdominal pressure. Disposable Medical Supplies: Their portfolio includes a variety of single-use medical items such as wound drainage systems, urine collection bags and catheters, equipment for airway management and oxygen therapy, suction apparatus, gastroenterology tubes, and securement devices. Infusion Technology: They also manufacture disposable infusion sets for insulin pumps used in diabetes care, as well as for other continuous infusion treatments. ConvaTec distributes its products globally to a diverse clientele, including pharmacies, hospitals, and various acute and post-acute healthcare providers, either directly or via a network of distributors and wholesalers. Their customer base encompasses healthcare professionals, patients, and other manufacturers. Founded in 1978, ConvaTec Group Plc is headquartered in Reading, United Kingdom.
