CalciTech Ltd. (CLKTF)
Geneva, CH
CalciTech Ltd. specializes in the development and market introduction of synthetic calcium carbonate (SCC) across Europe. Its SCC is sustainably produced by repurposing industrial by-products such as waste lime and capturing harmful atmospheric carbon dioxide. This brilliant white pigment finds extensive use across various industrial sectors, including paper manufacturing, polymers, paints, and the food and pharmaceutical industries. For the paper industry, the company offers a trio of SCC products specifically tailored for its needs: CalciLS, engineered for optimal light diffusion; CalciSG, designed for imparting a lustrous finish to high-grade printing and writing papers; and CalciRG, a performance-enhancing additive aimed at the rotogravure market. Beyond paper applications, CalciTech also provides CalciSP, designed for the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries, and CalciRC, which addresses polymer-based requirements in materials like plastics, sealants, rubber, and adhesives. Previously trading as Kemgas Ltd., the company adopted its current name, CalciTech Ltd., in July 2000. This change reflected a strategic shift towards the manufacturing and commercialization of SCC. Established in 1978, CalciTech Ltd. is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
