Description

YTL Corporation Berhad operates as an investment holding company with a focus on integrated infrastructure development. Its extensive operations are structured across six key segments: Construction, Hotel Management, Cement and Building Materials Production, Management Services and Other Ventures, Property Investment and Development, and Utilities. The company is deeply involved in the utilities sector, generating, transmitting, and distributing electricity from various sources including gas, solar, and coal-fired power plants. It also manages and maintains power stations and express rail links, alongside providing water and sewerage services. In construction, YTL undertakes major civil engineering projects, while its industrial arm manufactures essential building materials such as clinker, cement, and ready-mixed concrete. Within the property domain, YTL invests in and develops a range of residential and commercial properties, and it also owns and manages numerous hotels and resorts, including involvement in real estate investment trusts. Its service offerings are broad, encompassing project management, financial and treasury support, corporate secretarial services, administrative and technical assistance, consulting, investment advisory, property fund management, educational initiatives, and the provision of wired and wireless broadband internet access. Additionally, it offers leasing, hire purchase, and credit services. Further diversifying its activities, YTL engages in commercial trading, provides charter services for aircraft, helicopters, ships, and vehicles, and is active in the development, ownership, and operation of narrowcast digital media networks, as well as delivering 5G services. The company also owns and operates digital advertising platforms and data centers. Its trading interests extend to cane furniture, local handicrafts, paintings, and fashion apparel. YTL is involved in palm oil cultivation, the breeding and distribution of koi fish, vehicle rental, air ticketing, and loyalty program management. It develops and sells software applications, trades and leases transportable cabins, wood-based products, granite aggregates, and mechanical and electrical equipment, and facilitates digital payments via its e-money platform. Established in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 1955, YTL Corporation Berhad is a subsidiary of Yeoh Tiong Lay & Sons Holdings Sdn Bhd.
