Steel Exchange India Limited is an India-based enterprise primarily involved in the fabrication and distribution of steel items. The company organizes its business across three segments: Trading, Steel Ingot production, and its Integrated Steel Plant. It fabricates a range of products, including steel ingots made from sponge iron, scrap, or pig iron, along with TMT bars, which are sold under the "Simhadri TMT Bars" trademark. Furthermore, the company produces various forms of sponge iron, such as lumps, fines, and briquettes, alongside steel billets. Beyond its manufacturing operations, Steel Exchange India also conducts extensive trading activities, dealing in everything from finished steel and semi-finished goods to coal, scrap, and sponge iron. An innovative component of its business includes the generation of power by harnessing waste heat. Founded in Visakhapatnam, India, in 1999, the company maintains its principal office there.
