Description

ICL Group Ltd. is a global enterprise specializing in minerals and chemical products, operating through its various subsidiaries. Its business is structured across four primary divisions: Industrial Products, Potash, Phosphate Solutions, and Innovative Ag Solutions (IAS). The Industrial Products segment focuses on extracting bromine from potash production by-products, along with developing bromine compounds. This division also manufactures diverse grades of potash, salt, magnesium chloride, and magnesia goods, in addition to crafting and distributing phosphorus-based flame retardants and other phosphorus derivatives. Within the Potash segment, operations include the extraction of potash from the Dead Sea, mining and production of potash and salt, and the creation of Polysulphate. This segment also handles the production, marketing, and sale of magnesium and its alloys, alongside by-products like chlorine and sylvinite, and markets salt. The Phosphate Solutions segment leverages commodity phosphates to create specialized products. It manufactures and distributes phosphate-based fertilizers, as well as sulfuric acid, green phosphoric acid, and other phosphate fertilizers. Furthermore, this segment produces thermal phosphoric acid, catering to diverse industrial applications including oral hygiene, cleaning agents, paints, water purification, asphalt enhancement, construction, and metal processing. It is also involved in the development and production of functional food ingredients and phosphate additives for sectors like processed meats, poultry, seafood, dairy, beverages, and baked goods, in addition to producing milk and whey proteins for the food industry. The Innovative Ag Solutions (IAS) segment is dedicated to developing, producing, marketing, and selling a range of fertilizers primarily derived from nitrogen, potash, and phosphate, encompassing water-soluble specialty, liquid, soluble, and controlled-release varieties. The company's products are distributed through a network of marketing companies, agents, and distributors. Originally established in 1968, the company was known as Israel Chemicals Ltd. until its rebranding to ICL Group Ltd. in May 2020. Its headquarters are located in Tel Aviv, Israel.
