Established in Tokyo in 1871, Mitsubishi Materials Corporation is a globally diversified enterprise operating through its various subsidiaries, specializing in a wide array of products and services. The company's construction materials division offers a comprehensive range, including standard and soil-stabilizing cement, concrete repair solutions, specialized grouting mortars for diverse applications like water-retaining pavements, non-shrink grouts, and aggregates. In the metals sector, Mitsubishi Materials covers the entire spectrum from mining, smelting, and refining base and precious metals such as copper, gold, and silver, to producing copper alloy products, precious metal clays, and other functional metallic materials. Its advanced materials portfolio includes cemented carbide products and sintered components, primarily for the automotive industry. Additionally, the company is a key supplier of electronic materials, providing functional materials, chemical products, electronic devices, high-purity polycrystalline silicon, and chlorosilane gas. Rounding out its extensive offerings, Mitsubishi Materials manufactures various aluminum products like sheets, plates, foils, extruded goods, cans, and bottles. The corporation also demonstrates a commitment to sustainability by engaging in renewable energy generation, encompassing geothermal, solar, and hydroelectric power, alongside coal distribution and radioactive waste recycling initiatives.
