This index, the S&P Global Infrastructure Index, is designed to track the performance of a specific segment of the market: the 75 largest global companies operating within the crucial energy, transportation, and utilities sectors. Together, these firms represent approximately 80% of the free-float market capitalization available in these industries. The index weights its constituents based on their free-float adjusted market value, with a safeguard that no single company's weighting can exceed 5%. Its composition is re-evaluated and updated twice a year.
