Oxford Nanopore Technologies plc is dedicated to the development and commercialization of an innovative technology platform. This platform leverages nanopore-based sensing to facilitate the analysis of various types of molecules. The company's product line includes several key devices: The MinION, a portable unit designed for sequencing deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and ribonucleic acid (RNA). The GridION, a self-contained benchtop instrument capable of operating and analyzing up to five MinION or Flongle flow cells. The MinION Mk1C, which integrates basecalling and data analysis, featuring a touchscreen interface and wireless connectivity. Flongle, an adapter that allows the use of Flongle flow cells with MinION or GridION devices. The GridION Mk1, another benchtop nanopore sequencer offered by the company. The PromethION 2 Solo and PromethION 2, providing an economical gateway to high-yield PromethION sequencing. Larger-scale needs are addressed by the PromethION 24 and PromethION 48 benchtop nanopore sequencers, which cater to multiple users for multi-sample and multi-experiment sequencing. VolTRAX, a USB-powered device that automates laboratory preparation steps prior to nanopore sequencing. In addition to hardware, Oxford Nanopore offers a suite of software solutions: MinKNOW, a software application for data acquisition, real-time analysis with feedback, local basecalling, and data streaming. Specialized Basecalling tools for identifying the sequence and type of bases in DNA/RNA molecules. EPI2ME, a cloud-based platform for comprehensive, real-time analysis of nanopore data. EPI2ME Labs, a bioinformatics resource designed to help users enhance their expertise and confidence in analyzing nanopore-based sequencing data. The company is also actively developing new products, including the MinION Mk1D, Ubi, Plongle, and SmidgION. Its products are available for purchase online. Established in 2005, the company was initially known as Oxford NanoLabs Limited before changing its name to Oxford Nanopore Technologies Limited in May 2008. Oxford Nanopore Technologies plc maintains its headquarters in Oxford, United Kingdom.
