argenx SE is a biotechnology firm dedicated to advancing innovative treatments for autoimmune conditions across key global markets, including the United States, several European nations (the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, France), and Japan. The company's flagship experimental drug, efgartigimod, is currently in advanced Phase III clinical trials for conditions such as myasthenia gravis, immune thrombocytopenia, pemphigus vulgaris, and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy. Additionally, efgartigimod is being investigated in Phase II/III studies for bullous pemphigoid and idiopathic inflammatory myopathy, with a preclinical formulation, ENHANZE SC, also under development. Beyond efgartigimod, argenx maintains a robust pipeline of immunology programs. These include cusatuzumab, aimed at hematological cancers and high-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS); ARGX-119, an antibody targeting muscle-specific tyrosine kinase; ARGX-117 for severe autoimmune disorders; ARGX-118 for airway inflammatory conditions; and ARGX-120, another candidate addressing autoimmune diseases. The firm also collaborates on several product candidates, such as ARGX-115 for oncology applications, ARGX-112 which targets the interleukin-22 receptor, and ARGX-114, an antibody designed to interact with the MET receptor. argenx has established key strategic alliances with pharmaceutical leaders like AbbVie S.À.R.L., Zai Lab Limited, and LEO Pharma A/S. Furthermore, it holds numerous collaboration and licensing agreements with a broad spectrum of partners, including Genor Biopharma Co. Ltd, Université Catholique de Louvain, Sopartec S.A., NYU Langone Health, Leiden University Medical Center, AgomAb Therapeutics NV, Broteio Pharma B.V., the University of Texas, BioWa, Inc., Cilag GmbH International, Staten Biotechnology B.V., and Shire International GmbH. Founded in 2008, argenx SE maintains its operational base in Breda, the Netherlands.
